The Technician is the official student newspaper of N.C. State University and a publication of NCSU Student Media. While the online edition covers breaking news 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the print edition is published every Monday through Friday throughout the academic year from August through May, except during holidays and examination periods. Summer editions are published every Thursday during summer sessions.
As a public forum for student expression, student staff members determine the content of the publication without prior review. The staff also welcomes feedback from readers and accepts both letters to the editor and guest columns.
Subscription cost of the print edition is $100 per year. A single copy is free to all students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus. Additional copies are $0.25 each.
