NC State football redshirt freshman linebacker Payton Wilson was arrested Saturday morning around 2 a.m. for resisting a public officer, the possession or manufacture of fraudulent I.D., injury to personal property and underage consumption of alcohol, according to the arrest record.

According to Raleigh Police, a fight took place at 500 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh, where an individual was punched in the eye, resulting in a black eye. Police could not say what Wilson’s exact involvement in the altercation was. Wilson was apprehended shortly after.

Wilson was arrested by the Raleigh Police Department at 400 N West St. in downtown Raleigh, according to the arrest record.
