Not every new student coming to NC State comes in with the same level of knowledge about NC State Athletics. Some have been lifelong fans, others may have only seen a handful of events or none at all. Whichever camp you fall into, we wanted to make sure you knew at least one name on every NC State team, so here is the who is who of NC State Athletics.

Part two of the three-part series counting down the top 19 NC State sports moments of 2019 includes postseason runs from NC State Icepack, softball, women’s soccer and women’s tennis; a big draft day for some former Pack football players; and a recent ranked win for women’s basketball. 

The NC State women’s soccer team will be facing the only undefeated team left in the country on Saturday in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Championship as it faces BYU on its home field. The match is set to kick off at 8 p.m. on Saturday and will be in Provo, Utah at BYU’s home field.

Set-piece routines have been huge for the NC State women’s soccer team this season and the team’s NCAA Championship second-round match against third-seeded Arkansas was no exception as two defenders found the back of the net following set-piece routines en route to a 2-1 upset win.
