Union Activities Board statement on Tucker Max controversy

We'd like to thank everyone for your emails, comments and concerns.
We're grateful to those who offered constructive ideas and a
willingness to deal with the social issues in front of us.

Without a doubt, there has been an enormous amount of controversy
surrounding Tucker Max, and our decision to bring him to campus to
screen his film.  We the UAB acknowledge that people are upset by
this, and we reinforce the fact that his appearance here does not
reflect the values of this organization, or N.C. State as a whole.  UAB
has led a legacy of providing fun, unique and socially relevant
events to students, and we will continue to do so.

We encourage you to get involved with UAB and be active in program
planning.  Step up, lend a hand and join your fellow students.
