February 27 Books close for the position with James Hankins and Jon Chichwak on the ballot.

March 22 Elections Commission announces James Hankins' name has been removed from the ballot due to a violation of the newly instated Policies, Rules and Regulations for student leaders. This leaves Chichwak as the lone candidate for Senate president.

March 24 Sara Yasin and Greg Doucette file to run against Chichwak, partly in protest of the removal of Hankins' name.

March 28 After election, the Commission announces a runoff between the top-2 vote-getters: Yasin and Chichwak, with Doucette coming in 3rd.

March 30 Yasin announces she would remove herself from the ballot, saying she wants to study abroad next semester. The Commission approves the removal and replaces her name with Doucette's.

April 3 Doucette defeats Chichwak, 60.8 percent to 39.2 percent, to take the Senate president position.

April 5 Chicwak files an appeal of the results on the grounds that Doucette should not have been on the ballot after Yasin's dropout from the race. The Elections Commission is set to meet about the appeal April 9.
