OIED Office

The Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity is located on the second floor of Winslow Hall at NC State. The purpose of its Diversity Mini-Grant Program is to encourage initiatives to further diversity and inclusion developments on campus.

On Oct. 7, it was announced Sheri Schwab will serve as vice provost for institutional equity and diversity, after being interim vice provost for institutional equity and diversity for 18 months, according to an announcement by Warwick Arden, executive vice chancellor and provost.

Schwab has worked at NC State for 22 years beginning in 1997 as assistant vice provost for employment programs in the Office for Equal Opportunity and Equity, as well as working as a leader in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and NC State Extension, according to Arden’s announcement.

Schwab has devoted her professional career to representing underrepresented and underserved populations and hopes to promote NC State's core values of equity, inclusion and diversity in her new role according to the provost website.
