On July 20, two men were charged with the murder of two individuals from Raleigh, according to the News & Observer.
According to a Raleigh Police Department news release, the two men, James Daishawn Robinson and Ryan Craig Veach, have each been charged with two counts of murder and are currently being held in Wake County jail without bail. A third person, a juvenile, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Anthony James McCall and Brendan Robert Hurley were reported missing on July 17, according to the News & Observer. WRAL reported that a Dodge Charger was found on Wednesday morning in south Raleigh, which was linked to McCall and Hurley. Family members said that blood was found on a car seat.
According to the News & Observer, the release had no additional information on the incident.
These were the 16th and 17th murders to occur in Raleigh during 2019. According to News & Observer, 16 murders in total took place in Raleigh in 2018.
