Conduct course evaluations online
OUR OPINION: The benefits of conducting course evaluations online far surpass the value of the current method of in-class bubble sheets and will not only save money, but field less-apathetic responses from students if the system is set up right. It's the last week of class and all you can think of is getting out of dodge -- escaping from the grueling life of being a student.
Societal progress more than body art
I am not an expert. I am not a trained sociologist or a great philosopher. I can, however, see that there is something very wrong with us today. Our generation, the Internet Generation, doesn't appear to be doing all that much. We are sort of stagnating -- too self-involved to really care about anything.
Hit up the hill
No, not Chapel Hill. UNC will freeze over and Roy Williams will fly before I encourage kids to go hang out in Orange County. I'm talking about a hill that's a great deal closer to our hearts here at N.C. State: Hillsborough Street. There's been a great deal of talk about and a little bit of progress toward revitalizing our University's own college street.
