Civil Engineering sophomore Spencer Bowman plays his Vuvuzela at Chillin' and Grillin' by the Inter-Fraternity Council on Tucker Beach Aug. 18. "It matches my attire, so I thought I'd bring it," Bowman said. "We got it at Good Will for like 50 cents.". IFC president Peter Barnes, said they expect to feed 4000 at the event. It was hosted by IFC and IRC and featured a live band.

As part of a promotion for free Hardees Thickburgers, Bennett Rouse, a junior in chemical engineering, rolls a basketball at oversized inflatable bowling pins Saturday. Rouse and Alex Anderson, a sophomore in business administration, each had one roll to knock down as many pins as possible. "We are always around so I guess they just noticed us," Andrason said of being selected. Andrason won a year's supply of Thickburgers while Rouse won 10 free coupons.

Classmates Brett Williams and Briana Taylor spin together in a mating ritual in their ecology class, while fleeing from the "Big bad wolf" Tuesday afternoon. The experiment was designed to give students insight into the everyday tasks animals must perform. Taylor, a senior in biological science, and williams, a freshman in zoology had started "mating" when the wolf, played by Will Lopez, a senior in biological scence came to attack them. Mating allowed students to keep their tennis balls, which represented the goods from foraging. "It was entertaining to be able to play a game like this on the first day of class" said Lopez, "it was kind of cold though."
